Seine-et-Oise

Former département in northern France, formed of part of the Ile-de-France, and located west of Paris. Seven new départements were created from Seine and Seine-et-Oise in 1964: Ville de Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-St-Denis, Val-de-Marne, Yvelines, Val-d'Oise, and Essonne.
