Selinsgrove

Town in central Pennsylvania, on the Susquehanna River, 63 km/39 mi north of Harrisburg; population (1990) 5,400. It is the seat of Susquehanna University (1858).

It is also the birthplace of Jacob Coxey, a quarry owner who led the march of ‘Coxey's Army’ on Washington in 1894, demanding job creation through public works projects.
