Pardubice

Industrial market town of eastern Bohemia, in the central Czech Republic, on the River Elbe, 94 km/59 mi east of Prague; population (2001) 90,700. It has oil and sugar refineries, chemical, engineering, electrical, and brewing industries, and trades in grain and timber.
