Seow, Yitkin

Seow, Yitkin (1955– )

Malaysian pianist. He studied at the Menuhin School (1967–72) and the Royal College of Music, London (1972–75). He made his Wigmore Hall debut in 1968, and appeared with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in concert, in 1975. He has made appearances throughout Europe, and with the regional BBC orchestras (with which he went to Russia in 1985). His recordings include works by Debussy, Satie, and Janáček; he has also performed the co-operative Chinese Yellow River Concerto.
