Septembrist

During the French Revolution, any of the perpetrators of a massacres in Paris in September 1792. The victims were royalists and constitutionalists confined in prison, and the massacres were carried out by the commune of Paris in reaction to the approach of the Prussians, who claimed that they were going to restore the king.
