Setaccioli, Giacomo (1868–1925)

Italian composer. He studied at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome where he became a professor in 1922. In 1925 he moved to Florence on being appointed director of the Cherubini Conservatory there.

La sorella di Mark (1896), L'ultimo degli Abenceragi (after Chateaubriand, 1893), Il mantellaccio (produced 1954) and Adrienne Lecouvreur (after Scribe).

Other works

Requiem for Humbert I, Cantica for solo voices, chorus and orchestra, motets, Quadro sinfonico for chorus, organ, and orchestra; symphony in A major, symphonic poems, chamber music, songs.
