Seven Hills

Seven Hills

The hills of San Francisco, California (in reference to the hills on which classical Rome was built). Although there are more than 40 sizable hills in the city (a few have been removed for landfill), the seven most prominent are said to be Mount Davidson (the highest, at 286 m/938 ft); the Twin Peaks, Nob, Russian, and Telegraph hills; and either Lone Mountain or Mount Sutro.

City in northern Ohio, 16 km/10 mi south of Cleveland, of which it is a commuter suburb; population (1990) 12,300. Part of its city hall is a schoolhouse dating from 1861.
