shallot

Small onion in which bulbs are clustered like garlic; it is used for cooking and in pickles. (Allium ascalonicum, family Liliaceae.)

INGREDIENTS 12 shallots, peeled and cut in half 1 lemon, quartered 1 small bunch fresh thyme 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 200g brie, sliced 1 garlic clove, cut in half and bruised with back of a knife 4 slices thick-cut bread (ciabatta or sourdough are perfect, but chunky granary would be great too) Place the shallots in a roasting tin with the thyme scattered over.
Top the pizza base with the shallots, pancetta and spinach and sprinkle the parmesan on top.
Season sea robin with salt and pepper, then brush with butter and sprinkle with shallots.
