Shap Fells

Granite upland in Cumbria, northwest England, between Kendal and Penrith; height 335 m/1,110 ft. The village of Shap lies to the north of the summit at nearly 305 m/1,000 ft above sea level. The ruins of a 12th-century abbey are nearby. The railway line to Scotland and the M6 motorway cross the fells.
