Shapey, Ralph (1921–2002)| US composer and conductor. He studied with Stefan Wolpe and conducted a youth orchestra in Philadelphia 1938–47. He was founder and musical director of the Contemporary Chamber Players at Chicago University in 1954; and was professor of music there from 1964. |
