Sharif, Omar (1932– )

Egyptian-born actor (of Lebanese parents). He was Egypt's top male star before breaking into international films after his appearance in Lawrence of Arabia (1962). His other films include Dr Zhivago (1965), Funny Girl (1968), and Funny Lady (1975).
