Shediac

Town in southeastern New Brunswick, Canada, on Shediac Bay of Northumberland Strait, 24 km/15 mi northeast of Moncton; population (1990) 4,300. It is a seafood producing centre, noted especially for its lobster and oysters, and has an annual lobster festival. Its warm waters draw beachgoers.
