Shotwell, James Thomson (1874–1965)

Canadian historian and internationalist. Shotwell was an adviser to President Woodrow Wilson at the 1919 Paris Peace Conference. He went on to become president of the League of Nations Associates, 1935–39, and chairman of the consultants to the US delegation to the United Nations Conference in 1945. He was also president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, 1949–50.
