Shouse, Jouett (1879–1968)

US representative; . Shouse served in the Kansas state legislature before going to the US House of Representatives in 1915–19. In 1929 he became chairman of the Democratic National Committee, masterminding a Democratic congressional victory. In 1932 he joined the conservative American Liberty League and retired from politics.
