Siklós, Albert (1878–1942)

Hungarian cellist, musicologist, and composer. He studied at the Hungarian Music School in Budapest and appeared as cellist in 1891, as lecturer in 1895, and began to compose seriously in 1896, when he finished a cello concerto, a symphony, and an opera. He held distinguished teaching posts in Budapest and was appointed professor in 1913.
