Sikorski, Kazimierz (1895–1985)

Polish composer. In 1936 he was one of the founders of the Society for the Publication of Polish Music. He studied at the Chopin High School in Warsaw and later in Paris. In 1927 he became professor at the Warsaw Conservatory.

His son Tomasz (1939– ) is a pianist and composer who has written instrumental music in various advanced idioms; he is noted as an early Polish minimalist.
