Silbersee, Der

Opera by Kurt Weill (libretto by Georg Kaiser), produced at Erfurt and Magdeburg, Leipzig, 18 February 1933. In the story, Severin, wounded by Olim, joins him in a house by Silver Lake. When they enter a suicide pact, the water freezes over and they escape across the surface to a new life.
