Silvana

Opera by Weber (libretto by F K Hiemer, altered from Steinsberg's Waldmädchen). Produced at Frankfurt on 16 September 1810, this was Weber's second version of Das Waldmädchen of 1800. The plot follows Silvana, who is struck dumb after being kidnapped. She eventually revives when she is discovered in the forest by Count Rudolf.
