Simonds, Ossian Cole

Simonds, Ossian Cole (1855–1926)

US landscape architect. He was superintendent of Chicago's Graceland Cemetery, which he turned into a park-like masterpiece in the 1880s before going into private practice in Chicago.

He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and trained as a civil engineer.
