Sinclair, Jeanette (1928– )

English soprano. She studied with Joan Cross and made her debut in 1954 at the Sadler's Wells Theatre, London, as Cherubino. She made her Glyndebourne debut in 1955, as Barbarina. From 1954 she appeared at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, where she was Constance in the UK first performance of Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmelites (1958), Micaela, Bella (The Midsummer Marriage), Susanna, and Zerlina. She sang Mimi with Welsh National Opera in 1964, and made many concert appearances.
