Six Rivers National Forest

Forest in northwestern California, extending 220 km/135 mi south from the Oregon border along the west of the Coast Ranges; area about 4,050 sq km/1,562 sq mi. It is named after the Smith, Klamath, Mad, Trinity, Eel, and Van Duzen rivers, which run through it.

The Klamath National Forest lies to the east and the Redwood National Park to the west. The Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation (population (1990) 2,100), on the Klamath River, extends along the southwest.
