Skelmorlie

Village in North Ayrshire unitary authority, Scotland, situated on the Firth of Clyde, 8 km/5 mi north of Largs; population (2001) 1,800. Wemyss Bay, a rail terminal and pleasure-cruise centre for the Firth of Clyde area, lies to the north. The castles of Skelmorlie and Wemyss are located on the coast.
