Skerries, the

Several groups of rocky islets around the coast of Great Britain and Ireland. The name is specifically applied to a group of islets off the northwest coast of the Isle of Anglesey, north Wales, in the Irish Sea. This is a site of shipwrecks, including Charles II's yacht Mary which was lost in 1675. There has been a lighthouse here since 1716.
