Skram, Knut (1937– )

Norwegian baritone. He made his debut at Oslo in 1964, as Amonasro. He was well known in concerts and Lieder recitals. He appeared at Glyndebourne, as Guglielmo, Papageno, and Mozart's Figaro (1969–76). He made his US debut with Kentucky Opera in 1979, as Papageno. He later turned to Wagnerian repertory, appearing as Amfortas and Kurwenal in Borlini, and Hans Sachs in Nice (1992).
