Slupsk

Słupsk

Capital of Słupsk province, Poland, on the River Słupia, 61 km/38 mi northeast of Koszalin; population (2002) 99,900. It produces timber, footwear, furniture, chemicals, and has engineering industries. Until 1945 it was part of German Pomerania.

There is a 16th-century castle of the dukes of Pomerania, and an annual festival of Polish piano music.
