Smith, C(yrus) R(owlett) (1899–1990)| US aircraft executive. He became manager of Texas Air Transport, owned by the Texas-Louisiana Power Company. In 1934 this company reorganized, becoming American Airlines. He was chief executive until he retired in 1968, when he served as secretary of commerce for one year. |
