Smith, Oliver (Lemuel) (1918–1994)

US set designer. his designs span all aspects of performance – drama, opera, ballet and film. He began his Broadway career in 1942 with Rosalinda. Thereafter he designed for Brigadoon (1947), My Fair Lady (1956), West Side Story (1957), and The Odd Couple (1965).

He was born in Waupun, Wisconsin. He was the winner of many awards, including seven Tonys.
