Smith, Paul (1946- )

English clothes designer. His clothes are stylistically simple and practical, and his trademark is multicoloured pinstripes. He opened his first shop in his native Nottingham in 1970, selling designer menswear alongside his own designs, and showed his first collection in Paris in 1976. By the end of the 1990s his collections included women's and children's wear, shoes, toiletries, accessories, watches, and furniture.
