Smoo Cave

Smoo Cave

Double-chambered cave on the north coast of Highland unitary authority, Scotland, 68 km/42 mi west of Thurso. The cave, a popular tourist attraction, is carved into the limestone cliffs east of the village of Durness. It is 61 m/200 ft long, and there is a waterfall in the middle of the first chamber; the second chamber is permanently under water.
