Solomon, Yonty (1938– )

South African-born British pianist. He studied with Myra Hess in London, where he made his debut in 1963. He gave concerto performances in Europe, the USA, and South Africa, with first performances of solo works by Sorabji. His other large-scale repertory included Bach's Goldberg Variations and the Concord Sonata of Ives. He played duos with Sylvia Rosenberg (violin) and Radu Adulescu (cello) and was a professor at the Royal College of Music, London.
