Song cycle by Modest Mussorgsky (poems by A A Golenishtchev-Kutuzov), composed 1875–77. The cycle includes: 1. The Peasant's Lullaby; 2. Serenade; 3. Trepak; and 4. The Field Marshal. It was orchestrated by Dmitri Shostakovich in 1962.
