South Plainfield

Town in northeastern New Jersey, adjacent to Plainfield, and 11 km/7 mi northeast of New Brunswick; population (1990) 20,500. It has research facilities, corporate headquarters, and manufactures chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electrical supplies, and gypsum products.
