Spahn, Warren

Spahn, Warren (Edward) (1921–2003)

US baseball pitcher. During his 21-year career 1942–65, primarily with the Boston and Milwaukee Braves, he won 363 games, more than any left-hander in major league history.

He was born in Buffalo, New York. Thirteen times he won 20 or more games in a season, and in 1973 he was elected to baseball's Hall of Fame.
