Spanish Fork

City in north-central Utah, at the foot of the Wasatch Range, 13 km/8 mi south of Provo; population (1990) 11,300. Surrounded by irrigated farms and ranches, the city produces flour and other agricultural items and canned goods, and manufactures clothing and explosives.

It was settled by Mormons from Iceland in 1850.
