Spilsby

Market town in Lincolnshire, east-central England, 23 km/14 mi southeast of Louth, on the edge of the Fens; population (2001) 2,350. The town trades in agricultural produce. There is a 14th-century church. The explorer John Franklin was born in Spilsby in 1786.
