Polish-born Austrian composer. He settled in England in 1938. His works were influenced by Webern, with whom he studied 1935-38.

Works

Orchestral and chamber

symphony (1934), Passacaglia for chamber orchestra (1936), Concerto for Orchestra (1957); two string quartets (1941, 1952), piano trio (1950), sonatina for cello and piano (1973).
