Any herbaceous plant or shrub of the genus Spiraea, family Rosaceae, which includes many cultivated species with ornamental panicles of flowers.

One way to disguise daffodil foliage is by planting them with a hybrid of the perennial commonly called false spiraea (Astilbe X arendsii).
Shrubs that are easy to move include camellia, Mexican orange blossom (Choisya ternata), dogwood, broom, heather, forsythia, fuchsia, hebe, spiraea, rosemary, mock orange (Philadelphus), kerria and hydrangea.
