Spotted Tail (born Sinte Gleska) (c. 1833–c. 181)| American Indian Brûlé Sioux leader. A signatory of the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868 – in which the US government accepted the territorial claims of the Sioux in exchange for peace – he travelled often to Washington, DC, as the government-appointed chief of the agency Sioux. |
