Spring Green

Town in southern Wisconsin, on the Wisconsin River, 56 km/35 mi northwest of Madison; population (1990) 1,300. In a timber, dairying, and livestock region, it produces cheese, timber, flour, and feed. The US architect Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio, at his Taliesin school, now headquarters of the Wright Foundation, is 5 km/3 mi to the south.

There are several buildings designed by Wright at the site, as well as his furniture and much of his art collection.
