St Elias Mountains

Mountain range on the Alaska-Canada border. Part of the Coast Ranges, the St Elias Mountains are situated in southeast Alaska and southwest Yukon Territory, extending southeastwards for more than 320 km/200. The range's highest peak, Mount Logan 6,050 m/19,850 ft, is Canada's highest mountain.

It is one of the world's highest coastal ranges. Among its other peaks are Mounts Saint Elias (5,489 m/18,008 ft), Lucania (5,226 m/17,146 ft), and Steele (5,073 m/16,644 ft). An extensive glacial system, the largest in the world outside Polar Regions, extends from the Alsek River in the south to Mount Saint Elias in the northwest, and includes the Malaspina, Hubbard, and Seward glaciers.
