St Elmo's fire

Bluish, flamelike electrical discharge that sometimes occurs above ships' masts and other pointed objects or about aircraft in stormy weather. Although of high voltage, it is of low current and therefore harmless. St Elmo (or St Erasmus) is the patron saint of sailors.

ST ELMO'S FIRE Released on Blu-ray, the cult 1986 Brat Pack movie introduced us to the likes of Rob Lowe, Judd Nelson, Demi Moore and Emilio Estevez and Ally Sheedy in a tale of college teenagers trying to deal with the trials and tribulations of real life.
They were supported by Worksop's own 1980s rocker John Parr who sang his seminal anthem song Man in Motion from the 80s brat pack film St Elmo's Fire, Naughty Naughty and bizarrely the Gillette ad 'the best a man can get'.
The Striptease star has spent an estimated pounds 230,000 on surgery since her breakthrough role in 1985's St Elmo's Fire.
