St Mary's Loch

Narrow lake in Scottish Borders unitary authority, Scotland, 26 km/16 mi southwest of Selkirk. About 5 km/3 mi in length, its width is less than 2 km/1 mi at its widest point. Yarrow Water flows through the loch. The smaller Loch of the Lowes lies at its head, separated by a narrow isthmus.

I could have spent all day cruising alongside St Mary's Loch on the A708 with the roof down just listening to the V12 burble echo off the hillside.
Graeme Reavley, a vet from Berwick and his brother Doug who owns a building firm at Ancroft near Berwick were joined by over 30 others on the 70-mile trek from St Mary's Loch near Selkirk to Grants House.
Taking in part of the famous coast-to-coast walk, The Southern Upland Way, we started at St Mary's Loch in the Ettrick Forest.
