St Neots

Market town in Cambridgeshire, eastern England, on the River Ouse, 14 km/9 mi south of Huntingdon. There are engineering and other manufacturing works and a brewery. It has a large marketplace, and excavations in the town have disclosed part of the outline of a Benedictine priory. The 15th-century church has a pinnacled tower.

There is an annual folk festival held in May. The 17th-century bridge over the Ouse connects the town with Eaton Socon in Bedfordshire. A new power station opened 1996 at nearby Little Barford.
