Stafford Springs

Borough (population (1990) 4,100) in the town of Stafford (population (1990) 11,100), northeastern Connecticut, on the Willimantic River, 35 km/22 mi northeast of Hartford. A noted 19th-century health resort, known for its sulphurous water, it now produces tools and dies, textiles, and chemicals.
