Staffordshire bull terrier

Breed of dog developed in England as a cross between the bulldog and the terrier. Like the related bull terrier, it was formerly used for bull-baiting and is still used for illegal dogfighting. It has a sturdy, muscular build, with a heavy, square head, and powerful jaws. It stands up to about 40 cm/15 in at the shoulder and weighs in the range 10.5–17 kg/24–38 lb. Common colours are red-brown, fawn, or brindle, often with white markings.
