Stefan - Boltzmann law |
0.02 sec. |
Stefan–Boltzmann lawIn physics, a law that relates the energy, E, radiated away from a perfect emitter (a black body), to the temperature, T, of that body. It has the form E = σT4, where E is the energy radiated per unit area per second, T is the temperature, and ςis the Stefan–Boltzmann constant. Its value is 5.6697 × 10−8 W m−2 K−4. The law was derived by the Austrian physicists Josef Stefan and Ludwig Boltzmann. How to thank TFD for its existence?
