Stevens-Johnson syndrome

In medicine, syndrome is characterized by skin lesions that develop into blisters. Severe ulceration of the eyes and mucous membranes can also occur. Certain drugs, such as the sulphonamide group of antibiotics, cause this reaction in individuals who are hypersensitive to them and their use is now restricted due to the severity of this condition.
