Steptoe, Roger (1953- )

English composer, pianist, and teacher. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music 1974-77 and was administrator of the International Composer Festivals there 1986-93. He made his debut as a pianist at the Wigmore Hall in 1982.

Orchestral and chamber symphony (1988), Sinfonia Concertante for string trio and strings (1981), concertos for oboe (1982), tuba (1983), clarinet (1989), organ (1990), and cello (1991); two string quartets (1976, 1985) and other chamber music.
