Captions would have been useful (how many people, for example, will correctly identify the late Karlheinz Stockhausen, glowering at the camera during rehearsals for the performance of Sternklang in the park in 1992?
What sets them apart is the funkiness of the rhythms and the electronic dressing that surrounds them, courtesy of a person or persons called Sternklang.
Along the same line of thought comes the Sternklang ("star-sounds") of 1971, "park-music" where musical signals are transferred by runners between five groups of performers deployed around a park, marshalled by the central tolling of a huge gong.
