Opera by Umberto Giordano (libretto by A Colautti, based on Victorien Sardou's play), first produced at the Teatro Lirico, Milan, Italy, on 17 November 1898. In the story, Fedora's husband, Vladimir, is murdered. After tracking down the killer, Count Loris, Fedora learns that the motive was revenge for an affair Vladimir had had with Loris' wife.
